Profile Information

Why are you interested in this project?
As a native of Greenhill and a keen photographer, I feel it would be interesting to marry my main interest with the environment in which I was brought up.
What do you want to achieve?
I would like to create a record of the current evirons of the area before progress eradicates what is left of a once semi rural community.
Tell me a bit about yourself
Born and brought up in Greenhill, lived in Woodburn Crescent for over 21 years then 5 years in Seabegs before moving down to Bonnybridge wher I have been for the last 20 years.
Married - 2 kids and 1 grandchild.
Have you ever been involved in community activities before?
Yes.
Used to help run Greenhill youth club late 80's/early 90's when it used to be in the old Greenhill primary school.
How important is community to you?
It's not something I have given a lot of thought to.
What is your definition of community?
Diverse mix of people living in the one area, all with differing needs and values.
Do you use computers much?
yes
Do you use the Internet often?
yes
Do you have a computer with Internet access at home?
yes
Do you think the computers and the Internet can help create a better community for us?
A little, communication is all forms is important.
Do you prefer learning on your own or in groups?
either
What do you want to achieve at the end of this project?
To promote a better understanding of the surrounding environment particularly for those new to the community who may not realise the extent of local history and countryside on their doorsteps.
Define Greenhill
A blend of old and new neighbours in a once industrial area where such industry no longer exists.
